Why would I make a Web Blog? Over the years I have had many questions about everything from theology to world events. So I will use this space to answer some of your best questions during 2008. But I am also posting a series called the “Prophetic Ticker” that will explain specific current events from a prophetic view point as they take place during the last days.

Is Obama the Antichrist?
In these days many are asking, what does the Bible say about the Antichrist, the Man of Lawlessness, and the Beast. Should we be concerned about any individual currently ascending to power on the world stage?  Although my book Final Warning goes into much greater detail about the characteristics of the evil one, let it suffice that all Christians must be aware that one is coming who is beginning to fit this profile. 

Beware of the one who comes as a type of messiah promising to save the world from its present crisis by speaking half truths and outrageous lies; one who promises world wide peace by sitting down with your enemies or uniting the global community to defeat the terrorist. Beware of the one, who promises universal health care for the whole person (both physical and psychological) with its hidden agenda of leading you to trust in psychology instead of trusting in God exclusively, which is idolatry. Furthermore, this allows the evil one and his established order to control your life. This control is precipitated by electronic record keeping and preventative health requirements that will mandate physical and psychological care if you wish to keep your benefits.  

Be wary of the one who voted for the bailout bill that gives government more involvement in the private sector and definitive control over millions of home loans. Tucked into this bill is a mental health provision that will ultimately give companies power over their employees by requiring that they get psychological counseling and drugs to improve their productivity. Be very careful of the one who promises to bring change to those living in the midst of fallen Babylon through his own strength and intellect.

Christian don’t be deceived, because Obama could easily fit this profile. He is espousing a political rebellion against the so called established order and leading God’s children in open rebellion against Him. He does this by leading the world to put their trust in him or his new world religion and their mental health professionals to solve all their problems and meet their needs instead of trusting in God alone for His counsel and providential care. Obama openly nullifies the law of God by sanctioning same sex relationships and partial birth abortion – deserving the title “Man of Lawlessness.”

Some will say that Obama cannot be the Antichrist because the Bible indicates that the Antichrist must deny Christ and Obama claims to be a Christian. Yet a true Christian has denied self and has allowed God to take His rightful place upon the throne room of his own heart. Whereas the abomination that causes desolation is bringing an idol into the temple which causes desolation. That is, because of the idol of self, God and His Spirit can no longer occupy the temple. The New Testament makes it abundantly clear that each Christian is the new temple of God to be occupied by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, for Obama who claims to be a Christian and allows self to sit on the throne room of his own heart by trusting not in God but in his godless psychology, which is idolatry, and then leading the world to do the same is indeed the abomination that causes desolation.

Others will say that the Antichrist must be a Jew (or a Muslim) and I will answer that the Apostle John who wrote the book of Revelation clearly indicated that the Beast (or Antichrist) is not a Jew but a Roman Emperor and a Gentile. So you might say that the United States is not the Roman Empire and that we must look toward a united Europe to supply the Antichrist. Yet, the United States was in its early stages populated by those fleeing Europe bringing with them the closest resemblance of Roman rule. Furthermore, the United States is the most powerful nation in the world wielding its global dominance both militarily, economically, and socially. Moreover, built upon the same crumbling foundation of the Roman Empire she sits as a queen upon her throne with great pride claiming to have done no wrong, yet she leads the world in the killing of unborn (or partial birth) children, massive addiction to both legal and illegal drugs, and wholesale corruption on a scale never before seen.

Christian don’t be dismayed that the Republican Party lost the election. Indeed it was easy to be fooled by the Republican Party and the audacity of talk radio claiming to be on the side of Christianity by rejecting homosexual unions and the freedom of choice. Clearly they only courted the Christian vote to further their own evil agenda of excessive greed and lust for power. Stop trusting in Obama or the Republican Party to bring about change. Real change is only possible through the transforming power of the Gospel which brings true healing to the whole man and his community.

It brings me no great pleasure to point my finger at President elect Obama who on the surface appears to be a very nice fellow who has an intelligent wife and two precious looking daughters. But on the other hand the Bible clearly states that if possible the very elect would be led astray, which shows how strong the deluding influence can be in the last days. If you have not done so already, let me encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Trust God to solve your problems and meet all of your needs. Then join me in spreading the word to flee Vanity Fair before it’s too late. Reach out to your fellow Christian and tell them to stop trusting in Government and the one who has come to lead the world astray. Challenge them to repent and turn back to Jesus Christ as the true Author of change.

The Best Questions of 2008

Question: If the Judge is standing at the door and the time left on earth is short, what should Christians do? (January 05, 2008)

My Answer: The word Christian has become quite a generic term in our day. Yesterday I had two Mormon girls standing at my door in Round Rock, Texas claiming they were Christians. I have heard others who claim to be Christians make bold statements that all religions, including Hinduism and the Islamic religion are all the same and on the same path to God. So, to answer your question I would say the first step is to understand who you are in Christ Jesus. As a real Christian you have been transformed by the love and power of the Lord Jesus Christ and growing from one degree of glory to another. As a real Christian you have been filled with the Holy Spirit and learning from Him how to live the wholly sanctified life. The more you grow in Christ the wider your eyes have become open to see all the filth and gross immorality in the world. You are now seeing how the pressure from the world tries to conform you to their standard of living. 

So as a Christian living in the last days you must come out of the world by rejecting their world philosophies, such as accepting all other world religions as valid expressions of faith. This rejection will keep you from actively practicing tolerance which integrates many of their lies into a pure faith and God’s absolute truth. You must reject psychology because it has nothing to offer you as a true believer in Christ. God has given you godly counselors who know how to counsel you from His Word the Bible without integrating the world’s wisdom and psycho-babel into their counseling. As a true Christian you have rejected those preachers and teachers who tell you that it’s perfectly acceptable to amass wealth because God wants to bless you with material riches and fulfill your every desire. As a true Christian you must reject the notion that self is all important. In these last days surround yourself with true Christians who have died to self and live only for God. Keep company with those who spend more time loving others than loving themselves. 

The second step is to resist the devil by learning how to put on the full armor of God. In these last days Satan has become very powerful and persuasive as he works through the power structures of our day.  Surround yourself with those who can help you identify these power structures that have mesmerized and lulled the world to sleep. As a true Christian you know that the Bible says that God has put into the heart of the beast to destroy the woman (the Global City of man). The beast gives a mark to all those who participate in his new global city following his godless agenda. Dear friend, understand the true mark of the beast identifies you as a person who believes that he and his world can become all that he envisions it to be without God’s exclusive help. Clearly this person has passed the line, so stay clear of him except to witness to him with all the power given to you by the Holy Spirit. Finally, dear friends wait patiently for the glorious coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to punish the evil doer and rapture you into heaven to be with the Lord forever.
